Based on the poster, I wasn't sure what is the movie about but after watching it, I am glad that I was intro to watch this movie.

It is a comedy cum life story I would categorised it.

The story talks about this guy named Adam who was found to have back bone cancer and according to Internet research he made, he only has 50 50 chances to live. So, basically the story talks about how he face this tough challenge. In short, the story show us who are the true friends/family who will actually be there with you to face this tough challenge together and who will leave you alone when you needed them.

It's really a nice movie and meaningful.

After Car Accident Incident

Few days ago, my beloved was being kissed by a stranger. I am so SAD !!!!!! How can my babe being kissed by people other than me !!!! NOOOOO ~~~~ My babe not only kena kissed but also got kiss people's backside . Ish ~ Bad bad !!!!

ANYWAY ...

I do no want to go too much details on the kissing part cuz it just happen how it normally will happen. 3 parties including myself invovled and everything was settled peacefully by making police report and my babe currently is now in the ward for the trauma treatment.

Things just do NOT end there.

On the next day, the stranger that my babe accidently kissed onto called me asking me to make compensation to him for causing him opportunity loss of income. Well, the first question that got into my mind is "How did he got my contact number". When I questioned him, he sounded threatened by telling my nick name and where I am working. I did not immediately promise to him to pay him as I already don't feel comfortable talking to him.

Then, the next day, he called again. As the night before I did some searching on information about insurance claim and I came to find out about that we can make a third party claim not only our car damages but also on compensation called "Compensation on Actual Repair" which actually allows to claim at a certain rate per day for the days where our car is at the workshop for repair. So, I did advised him on that.

Not later than half an hour, he called back again saying that the compensation is not enough to cover his loss. Once again, sounded threatened, saying he will make a police report saying he is being cheated or something like that. To me, I am legally not wrong because if I were to found wrong, the police would have issue a summon on me. But what I was worried more is not about the money he asked for, is how much do he know about me. Also, I refuse to pay because who can be assured of that he will not disturb me again after me paying him.

Although the amount he asked for wasn't a big sum, just RM150, but after talking to friends and family, I really shouldn't pay him. Simply again, I am legally not wrong.

Whatever it is, I just hope that he'll realise this and stop calling me.

Just want to share this out, so that to all my readers and friends could be more aware because in today's world, anything can just happen. Let's just be more vigilant and know our rights. I've learnt an important lesson here.

And on a side not, should I ever find out whoever reveal out my personal contact details to this person, I will definitely make a big havoc out of it !!! WATCH ME DOING THIS !!!!

I decided in less than 10 mins ...

I shall upload this amazingly beautiful sunrise above the clouds on top of Er Mei Shan ...

At this moment, we thought the sun already rise and we just couldn't witness it. We are about to turn around and go back then someone behind shouted, "look ! look !" .. and yeah .. the sun actually took its time to appear since we are above cloud nine kan .. ^_^

So, if ever you have the chance to Er Mei Shan, please do remember to stay 1 night or even 2 nights there. It is all worth it and there's so much to see just in this mountain. More to share when we walk downhill for about 8km. =D

Holy Mountain of China - Er Mei Shan

When I hear about Er Mei Shan, I kept asking my dad if the famous "Ngor Mei Pai" is really exist and is from here ? Not sure .. I should have asked my mum instead ... XD

Anyway, Er Mei Shan or sometimes is written as Emei Shan is a sacred place of Buddhist. It's a mountain with temples, of course with its long written history and story about here. Yet again, I'm more of a scenic person than a historian.

Whether you are a believer of Buddha or not, it's always no harm to visit this place. Trust me, it will all worth the trekking, oh ya .. we did a 8km trekking downhill, we ran 2km uphill to catch the last cable car to the top of the mountain .. It's tiring but it's all worth it.

After a quick visit at Le Shan, the Big Buddha as shown in previous post [CLICK HERE], we continue our journey to Er Mei Shan which is just another less than half an hour ride from Le Shan.

Before entering into the main entrance into the mountain, there's a temple where we drop by for a visit. Seriously again, me busy clicking away with my cammie, not paying attention to the history, and now great, I couldn't share the story with readers ....

As the sun is going down very soon, we rush to the entrance to take the shuttle uphill which took about 2 hours before reaching the half mountain and taking the last cable car up before sky turns dark. As we were kind of behind schedule, we actually had to run a bit to catch the cable car but due to the high altitude and the cold weather, I have to ~~stop and take some photos~~ jaga abit the elderly, so I also walked slowly. =P

GO GO GO !!!! We made it to the last cable car .. But we still need to walk another few mins before reaching our hotel for the night ... We were all tired ~~

And to our surprise, we really are not expecting a great accomodation on this mountain and great foods, but it is really good as in the hotel is clean, is with hot water (that is the most important thing on a high mountain), the food is not as bad as we were told.

Le Shan, China

After flying back from Jiu Zhai Gou to Chengdu, we then continue our journey after resting a night in Chengdu at this 7 star boutique hotel I would say (review will be given later) to the most saint place especially for Buddhist people, Leshan and Er Mei Shan.

Let's start with Le Shan today.

Leshan might not ring any bell to you. But I pretty sure if you see the picture below, you'll definitely seen it before. I think I can safely say it is one of the most iconic of China.

Yes, it is the famous Le Shan Big Buddha.

One of the regret at here is that we chose to take a ferry boat ride and not walk to be near to the Big Buddha. Anyway, it is still a magnificent view. =)

Le Shan is worth to drop by for a day trip before continuing to Er Mei Shan. I would love to go back there and trek around the Big Buddha the next time.

From Ipoh, We Eat All The Way Back to KL

So, our day start with the following foods

Oopss .. No picture on the yummy egg custard. It was yummy with the coffee gravy in it .. Must try if you are here in Ipoh.

As usual for people who go to Ipoh will buy this brand of biscuits as souveniors ..

Before leaving the town, we manage to stop by a temple for a quick prayer.

We drive all the way until we reach Bidor for the famous Duck Noodles. Yum ~~

After lunch and with the hot sun, we decided to drive straight back to KL without any stopping.

However, our activity don't just end here. We manage to have a surprise for our beloved Kwan.

Yes, we quietly planned to give her a birthday surprise by telling her we need to stop by at Shin's house to pass her some of the things while Shin was making some tarts and muffins as her birthday treat. =D

From Sungkai, We Eat All the Way to Ipoh

It all began with us having our 2011 annual plan. One of the activity to be planned was to be on the labour day, 1st May where it falls on a Sunday, thus we have another additional day off on Monday.

Two week before the happening ...

"So, where are we planning to go next week?"
"Let's go Genting"
"OK"

One week later,

"Don't want Genting la"
"Oh, so where?"
"What about Sungkai, i've never been to the Hot Spring"
"No problemo.. What about we go to Ipoh to stay for a night as well??"
"On!"

One night before the day,

"Cannot book all hotels in Ipoh leh !"
"Anywhere out of Ipoh"
"Seems like full too"
"omg omg .. so how ?!"

So, initially our Plansss are ...
Plan A: Go to Sungkai, drive to Ipoh and try our luck if there's any hotel room available
Plan B: As Plan A BUT if no room, drive back to KL and go clubbing and stay in KL's hotel ...

OK OK ... I just want to illustrate how LAST MINUTE are we always .. LOL ..

KL Marathon 2011

Yours truly made her first 10km of ~~walk~~ run for her first time in her life !!! Please be proud of me !!!! LOL ...

I was expecting myself to finish in 2 hours but surprisingly i finish before 2 hours taken into account that I walk more than run, I stop for some photos .. Yes, i did took my sweet time to take some memorable photos .. XD

Evidence of me ran for 10.9km in 1 hour 44 mins with average pace of 9'30"km ..

I wasn't prepare for the run. I was so nervous and scare yet excited at the same time. I don't know what will happen to myself, will I faint? I really don't know before the run begins.

But I really thank god. It was drizzling at the beginning of the run and I suppose the weather was great with the cloudy day until almost towards the end of the run, only the sun came out. Happily, we manage to see rainbow on our way at Brickfields.

Every sign of KMs, it made me happy and excited.

That shows not only stop for taking picture with the famous 5km sign, ok ... XD

I couldn't have done all this without the encouragement and support from my dearest. Along the journey, we ran together, we walk together, we encourage each other that we can finish this journey together. Thank you my dear for going this run with me although you did wanted to give up the night before. I thank you for trusting me that we can finish this together.

We finished this together @ 10km . =D

And we have our medal !! Woot !!!!

Beside the medal, I also have blisters at toes as memory .. Ouchie !!! *notes to self to get a better and branded running shoes*

The only sad part that my dai ka jie who beria-ia want to join couldn't make it the run as she was sick at the wrong time. Hopefully next year we can join together again and don't simply eat pasar malam food before the run, ok!!! I know you are reading this . Kekekekekekeke ....

For now, I am considering to make this run as my annual event... Hmmmm ...

P.S: Main reason I don't like to tie up my hair like this !! Make my face damn fat and fugly... rawr !

Before leaving Jiu Zhai Gou, the heaven of mother nature, while on the way to the Airport, we manage to drop by at this ancient town where one of the main ethnic groups are Muslims, besides Aba Tibetan, Qiang and Han Chinese, Songpan.

Although Aba is a Tibetan and Qiang autonomous prefecture, elderly bearded men sporting distinctive white caps are a common sight on its streets. Muslim culture is widespread in Aba, where there is a large community of Hui people. Its street-life scenario is made complete by the large numbers of Muslim pancake sellers hawking their wares. Songpan is site of a number of Hui ethnic villages. The other three ethnic groups resident in the county are Tibetan, Qiang and Han Chinese. Songpan was once a regular stop for traveling merchants, but its commercial importance is now ancient history.

If you are a history person, I think this is a place that you would have to visit because this is the place where a small town marked a significant history between China and Tibet.

Forgive me, if I got my history of the above wrong.

According to my mummy + the tour guide explanation while I busy capturing the moment, the above statue was made in remembrance of this Tang Princess and the King. Princess Wencheng is not only remembered as princess, but she's the one who make a significant contribution in spreading the teaching of Buddha.

OK. That's all I remembered from the tour guide and mummy. XD

Beside the shops, there's this old lady selling water chesnut, Mummy bought it. And yeah, you know what's next.

All of us busy eating the water chesnut (which you can find at Petaling Street and you always get cheated for it's price and quantity), it is like so nice and warm to eat at such cold weather. It is so fresh lorh !!

I ended my Songpan memory with a gift from our pretty tour guide,

I don't really know what is called in English, but it's fruits that is dip into red sugar coating. The one I had is small peach.. Yum ~

Looking Back

Sometimes looking back to the path that you took is not a bad thing. It reminds oneself the ups and downs that you went thru that makes who you are today.

People always tell their friends to let go, to forget the sad and move on. I disagree.

Because the fact is, no one can forget things that they experienced it especially the BAD and SAD ones. You'll remember it even clearer than the happy moments. So, I always has this thinking and I do tell my beloved ones, "It's OK to be sad. You are always allowed to be sad for a day in a week. But don't be sad too long. One has to move on. The happy moments carve in our heart and remember it, as this will be the reason for you to look back and smile. The sad moments, keep at a corner but don't ever throw it away, as this will be the reason for you to be stronger as you walk further."

I have friends that say how can I be so positive-minded about almost everything. Simple, because to me, whatever things happen, it happened for a reason which the reason you may not know. Just accept it by maintaining the good one and improve/change on the bad one. Anyway, the truth is I am not that positive-minded at all time. Sometimes I do think very, i mean VERY negatively. Just that I never showed out to anyone. That is very not good. (Notes to self: To improve on this)

Sometimes, I do too asked myself about how I did. I always compare within myself. A simple example, in my working environment. I always asked myself, have I improve on the areas that I need and should improve? Areas like I have to be more outstanding in front of my bosses, to be more seen that I can work good. I do admit I wished to be more seen and assigned on more jobs and assignments. Just like how my big boss said to us, by having more jobs, it mean that you are capable in doing your work, it mean you are good. Everyone wished to be in that category, seen by boss. We are just denying the fact because we are just introverts.

So, what about you? Do you reminisce your good and bad of your past experience? Or you are a very easy going person that doesn't care the heck?

Remember, looking back to your past helps to remind yourself the path you taken and why you are here but don't ponder on your past too long as well, as it won't help you to grow.

The Power of Social Network

Just recently or rather over the recent weekend, another hot topic was discussed in Facebook. This time round it was a video shared on about school girl, whom was violently abused by her school mates. With the power of FB, this matter was easily brought to the media attention as well as the Govt's attention.

One video, it has brought everyone's attention.

On the side note, I still cannot accept that the bullies are just being suspended for 14 days lorh !!! *geram*

Without the video, the victim would have to continue bearing with all these nonsense that is happening in the school. Poor girl.

Earlier to this case, there were some hot topics in FB (focusing only in Msia as my network mostly are in Msia only) such as the animal abuse which the tomboy in the end came out to apologise to public, the incompetent organizer to Energizer Night Race, the suicidal note left by Alvis Kong.

FB definitely is a very powerful tool and connectors to all around the world. I think with the existence of FB, many ugly truth out there was revealed.

I wouldn't deny that people may go very extreme in creating haters or fans page for any single issue that arise. But, for example the recent video of the violent bully by the teenagers, if people hasn't see the video, if people doesn't share the video, how would the society know that there's something wrong with the education system. How would the family of that victim know how suffering she has been.

Also, with this, I think it will be a very good reminder to all those people who want to do anything in public because anytime you might just got caught on video and became the popular topic in FB.

Another example would be the suicidal note by Alvis Kong, I really hope that it would be a very good lesson to all of us including me that suiciding is not a solution to all. People who followed the news would know how his death has actually caused how many heartbrokens among his family and friends.

In the end, although I am giving all the good points of Social Network, there's also the bad points of it. So, it is still up to individual how you make use of it. Just becareful and think carefully everytime you want to post something or upload your photos. Just make sure that you have a very tight privacy settings. The best is DON'T put any of you personal details there.

I mean, if your friends really want your details, you can just give them by private e-mail or call. Don't need to PUBLISH your details.

In short, THINK WISE IN WHATEVER YOU ARE DOING. =)

Fitou Brasserie

HIMY's last gathering was suppose to visit this Thai Restaurant at Ampang. However, due to unforseen circumstances i.e. F1 Street Party along the KLCC street and also it was a rainy day, so we headed to Desa Park City for Fitou Brasserie [CLICK HERE].

It serves Mediterranean specialties. So we actually had some Spanish food for the night. It's bit pricy though but well I guess you pay for the ambience as well.

Energizer Night Race turns Night Riot

Yesterday night was the Energizer Night Race (ENR) event.

Unexpectedly, when I saw my friend's tweet and link myself to the ENR's facebook page .. Ho ho ho .. Guess what ... The page is bombarded by all the runners with unhappiness .. I never thought it would be that bad until I read the comments and also feedback from my friends who went ..

1 word ..

CRAPPY ..

What I heard about is that first, the organizer do not have enough goodie bags and also headlights for the runners. Then, the MC was rude enough to scold the runners with some rude words. That does not end there, there is no marshall along the race track, no water station and no time keeper ??!! Like .. wow .. What race is this .... Also from the comments, there's also some dishonest runner who actually took short cut and no one bother about it .. Then, the medals all go haywire ...

I think what caused the unhappiness among the runners is that they actually charge RM10 for the parking fee when it is not well taken care where there are car broke in cases ...

OMG lorh ....

Anyway, I just hope that the coming SCKLM will not be such a disaster like this knowingly they do have death cases for the past 2 years' race. How the first aiders' react etc etc ...

Conclusion, I shall just run according to my body limits. It's ok to be last as long we reach the finish line safe and good. I think this should all of us should have this in mind ...

Girls Go Crazy

Last week I unknowingly there's a Shoe Exhibition at PWTC and coincidently I am looking for black working shoes, so mummy suggested to go there have a look.

Basically when I walk inside the hall, you can see all the crazy ladies running around and being pushed around. I mean, yes, they really pushed around lorh... Ganas betul .. Ish !

Anyway, most of the booth are from well-known brand which a pair of shoes can easily cost you few hundreds. But they are really nice.. There's also average priced shoes like XES brand, Viss, Carlo Rino, Crocs etc ..

Well, this is not just a venue to get discounted shoes but it is also an exhibition as per say, so they have a stage for the catwalks, shoe designing competition, which I suppose it is heavily promoted by our own Datuk Jimmy Choo. Have I said this, I saw Datuk Jimmy Choo ??!! Yes !! But I am sorry that I did not take a photo of him as proof because I am standing just too near that I got a bit shy to take a shot of him before any security guards come "attack" me. Hehehehehe ....

I am definitely the lucky girl because I was able to experience this wonderful mother nature with 2 different season in a day. I got to see autumn, like in the previous post [LINK] and I got to see winter ... All i can say is that both are amazing that I wish I could just stay there forever.

I've been a lazy blogger
I've been having trouble how should I upload my photos after doing simple editing using iPhoto because I think I have to export out from iPhoto before I can upload the photos in blogger
I'm thinking what kind of free photo editing program that I can use to put my watermark/copyright
I've been quite sometime not doing any photo shooting
I miss photo shooting

Now
I am thinking whether should I continue blogging the way I am now
or I should totally revamp this blog i.e. deleting this blog and recreating a focused blog i.e. Travel and Food Blog ...

My New Baby

I think i am going to stop blogging for my trips and photographs for a time being. This is because I've got my baby to take care and spend time with him for a while... ^_^

Ermm .. Definitely not talking about boyfriend ...

I am talking about my new Mac Air which I just got it last Tuesday .. WOOT !!!! Trust me, after you change to mac, you'll never ever consider of changing back to Windows ... The graphics are just too awesome that I am so loving all my pictures now .. The simple basic iPhoto are great too !!!

Now that I need a software where I can put my text on the photos before I can continuing blogging especially on my China trip.. So so so ... Just bear with me a while la .. hehehehe ...

Till then, I'll keep update in words and share any nice videos/songs with you to show my existence in this world .. :P

If you are a person who loves broad way shows, who loves Dream Girls, this is one show that you shouldn't miss it .. It was awesome !! Fantabulous !!!!!!

When I first bought the movie ticket, the salesperson make a 18 and above chop on the ticket. I could not understand why it's not U-rated until I am in the cinema to watch the show itself.

Because apparently they costumes are just like that ~~

To me,
Valentine's Day is just a normal day where roses are expensive, the restaurants charged you double. Because if you love someone truly, everyday is a valentine. Don't you agree?

Well, not to spoil the mood but yeah, February 14th is where everywhere is filled with air of love, where this day you would at least tell your loved ones how much you love him/her.

To singles, don't sulk at home and complain in your twitter or facebook of not able to celebrate this special day. Get few of your single friends and ~~sulk~~ happy together. I used to have it with my so pos.

No celebration in 2010 because it Feb 14th was 1st day of CNY, so we celebrated with our family .. LOL !

If you ever watched the popular singing competition host in Taiwan, One In Million, I am sure you had the same feelings as me for all 7 seasons. I mean, they really produced very good singers when it comes to the final. So as the 7th season which just ended an hour ago.

This time, the champion, Jess Lee comes from Malaysia. She not only has made us proud but she really is one great talent in singing. Especially for the last 2 stage of the competition, all 4 of her songs not only touches my heart but also the judges. I am really proud of her so does every Malaysian who is watching it. =)

Here is the last 4 songs that she has performed. Try telling me it is NOT good. I guarantee you'll be amazed with her great powerful voice. =) And she successfully get 30 points i.e the max for all 4 songs !!!!

Again, she amazed everyone tonight and made a great ending to this competition . =)

Can't wait for her album soon !!

Jiu Zhai Gou (九寨沟), China - Part 1

Continuing from Chengdu [LINK], we flew from Chengdu into Jiu Zhai Huang Long Airport which is about an hour from Chengdu. Because of the high climate of the airport itself which is about 4000km above sea level, so flight delay into Jiu Zhai Gou is quite a common thing due to the bad weather of the heavy midst. However, we really lucky that our flight weren't delay and able to reach there on time.

Before you admire the amazing photos of Jiu Zhai Gou, let me give you some of the history and background of this place which I think it is worth knowing it. =D

Jiuzhaigou National Park (simplified Chinese: 九寨沟; traditional Chinese: 九寨溝; pinyin:Jiǔzhàigōu; literally "Valley of Nine Villages"; Tibetan: Zitsa Degu (gzi rtsa sde dgu)) is a nature reserve in the north of Sichuan, a province in south western China. It is known for its many multi-level waterfalls and colorful lakes, and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. It belongs to the category V (Protected Landscape) in the IUCN system of protected area.

Known in English as Jiuzhai Valley it lies at the southern end of the Minshan mountain range, 330 km (205 mi) north of the provincial capital of Chengdu. It is part of theJiuzhaigou County (formerly Nanping County) in the Aba Tibetan Qiang Autonomous Prefecture of northwestern Sichuan province, near the Gansu border.

Jiuzhaigou (literally "Nine Village Valley") takes its name from the nine Tibetan villages along its length. Seven of them are still populated today. The main agglomerations that are readily accessible to tourists are Heye, Shuzheng and Zechawa along the main paths that cater to tourists, selling various handicrafts, souvenirs and snacks. There is also Rexi in the smaller Zaru Valley and behind Heye village are Jianpan, Panya and Yana villages. The Valley's no longer populated villages are Guodu and Hejiao.

Finally, the Penbu, Panxing and Yongzhu villages lie along the road that passes through the town of Jiuzhaigou/Zhangza outside the valley.

In 1997, the permanent population of the valley was about 1000, made up of about 130 Tibetan families. Due to the protected nature of the park, agriculture is no longer permitted so the locals now rely on tourism and local government subsidies to make a living.

On 25th Dec, I've been sleeping for the whole day, thanks to the fever. Anyway, I did not miss out the fun of Christmas although I think I am in the dizzy mood for most of the time. I am also sorry to my dear besties for having to bear with my sickness and spoilt most of the fun.

We had our dinner at The Ship, Damansara Uptown. It's been quite sometimes that I've walked into The Ship for foods.

It was really full with Christmas feel and it's definitely crowded ...

They even have a special menu specially designed for xmas and new year ..

Memories of 2010

I've been wanting to have a post on this. Now, that I am motivated to do a blog post, so here I am ...

Well, 2010 definitely has been a roller coaster year for me. From the early of 2010, which I was stressed and unhappy about life to the end of 2010, that I am fully satisfied and happy about my life. Like everyone, many things do happen in between of that.

For me, the highlights in 2010 that is worth noting it down, it's the great people that I met. Like them.

Nonetheless, I myself has changed quite a lot ! In terms of ~~body size~~ hairstyle . XD

I think my face do look a bit more "sharper" now .. say YES pls .. XD

Lastly but not least, my life would not be great without them.

Them who always be there for each other and never failed to make your day colourful.

Oh oh ! Refering back to my previous post, this are the 2 best buddy that I mentioned about.

Their name is on the bottom right. Technically, the photo is from their iPhone. Thus, the word "by". Both of them has also been a great friend to me although we hardly meet up but we do keep in touch almost daily. I sincerely want to thank them for being the best listener whenever I needed one. Although as days gone by, each of us are busy with our own daily life and activities, we never failed to say a simple Hi. =)

Well, hope to see you guys again soon !!!

That's about my 2010. Probably there's more sweet memories more than this that I did not mention here like spending time with my family but everything is safely kept inside my mind and heart which I believe I have pen it down here in the blog of my everyday activity.

Hibernation

Today is the 5th day that I hibernate.

This is the first time in my life that I see doctor 3 times taking 3 times of MC.

Well, not really the first time though, I experienced this when I was in primary school time. I remembered that time I had the worst fever for almost 2 weeks that the doctor almost gonna suspect me having dengue. Thank god, when doc say if the next time I am still not ok, I have to go for blood test, I slowly recover.

Anyway, this is how I spent my Merry Christmas over the weekend. I spent my day and night with my bed. -_- Now that I feel a little much better, hope tomorrow I am strong enough to get my butt back to work.

And I know I have several posts pending. zzZZzzz ...

Damansara Village

For steamboat lovers, I think it is worth the try to this restaurant.

*didn't manage to capture the outer view of the restaurant because when reach, just too hungry to take out my camera, when want to go back that time, it's raining heavily*

There's a lot of people there especially if it's a weekend. So I advice you to call for booking before you go. It is actually just one street away from Pantai Seafood Restaurant @ Kayu Ara Damansara. Or rather, it is near to Atria's main road.

The steamboat is mainly on seafoods. And the seafoods are so fresh that the prawn are still jumping when they served us.......

Since there's 4 of us, so we decided to order the set which comes with the above prawnie and clams .

As for the soup, you can have clear soup or herbal soup. I think the herbal soup taste nice. Worth the try by just adding few bucks to it.

apparently they just pour that into the soup and became herbal soup. LOL .. But it's really NICE, ok !!

When 4 hungry ghosts meet together at a steamboat restaurant,

you basically put everything into the pot .. XD

Besides, their side dishes are nice too ... We tried the fried chicken and the fried wanton. Both are yummy, yummy and yummy !!!! *finger licking*

It's really worth the try. The food are fresh and the price are reasonable. =D

So, some other interesting places that you should visit when you are in Chengdu is definitely the Panda Reservation Park.

Next, if you are still studying or you have siblings who are studying, the following place maybe you should go to have a pray for good result, which I did. ^_^

It is a VERY big place I would say. Can say it is as big as ermmm ... the Midvalley Megamall ??

They have many many halls of prayer ...

It is believed that if you make your wish and walk around this pagoda 3 rounds, your wish will come true.

Although the buildings/architecture look the same like any normal traditional temple, we actually took about half an hour to look see all the things. Well, not exactly ALL because on the last day before we fly back, we went there again since it's very near to where we stay, surrounding to this, there's more...

God of Death

Now that I finally finish my exam. Again, I don't feel relieved of stress. I don't feel anything. It is just like any normal day. But I still wish this is my very last time walking into a exam hall. =(

However, since yesterday I found out the news of Alviss, who I think now is the No.1 hot topic almost to everyone who has a facebook, the news of his death has been quite disturbing to me. Apparently, not only me that is feeling this way.

Though I do not know him, but reading at his Last Notes (which now, I think his account has been deleted), reading all the comments especially by his sister, I can actually feel the pain, I can actually imagine the sequence of the countdown to his death. I thought all this only happen in drama or movie, which to be honest, I think movie nowadays don't really promote commit suicide because I've been quite sometimes don't come to this such scenes unless it's in the horror movie which Im totally out of it.

Honestly, I do feel sad for him, I feel sorry for his family and his friends who loved him so much. He's just 22 years old.

To me, this is life. This morning I was telling my mum about this and again, I always tell my mum, or to anyone, "Death is something you cannot avoid". If the day has come, no matter how careful are you, where you hide, somehow you'll have to face with the God of Death. Having said that, we still has to be careful especially when we are driving or walking outside. "Precaution is still better than Cure". At least you don't die regretfully like him.

My trust on this words became more solid when my cousin brother met an accident few years back where he was riding a motorcycle and when comes to a junction which heard to be quite "spiritually" bad luck, he somehow felt he hit something and his whole body flung out from his motorcycle, flew as high as I don't know how many metres up into the sky (imagine when he say he's was about at the height of those T-shaped traffic light, almost as high as a street light), but he drop to the road, with just a minor injury? Just some scratches here and there, I think he did sprained his leg. But no broken bones? Believe it or not. People say he's lucky. I say, it's not his time to meet God of Death yet.

Anyway, it's been quite a disturbing day + exam day = lousy day overall. I just hope it did not affect my exam mood. At least, I think I answered all the questions. Right or wrong, no idea. Craps...

Stupidity Kills

Can't stop myself from writing this post.

As usual, no one person can stare at the books for hours without doing something else like surfing the net. So, while I was browsing my facebook through my handphone, I saw a note shared by my friend written by this guy named Alviss Kong. It caught my eye because my friend wrote "RIP etc etc", so I clicked on the note and read.

It was in mandarin and he's basically writing his LAST note before he commit suicide. Yeah, you read it correctly, he wants to commit suicide. For what reason? For a rejected love. A usual heart broken note that you might see or you yourself might have thought of writing it. But when I finished reading the note, I read the comments, and he did really committed suicide by jumping off from 14th floor (based on the info I saw in one of the comments) and he passed away today at HUKM this morning.

You can read the note here. He write both in chinese and english. And yeah, he even has the time to take a last picture of himself. =.=!

This post is not to promote his death or to judge his death. But to actually remind ourselves,

Death is NOT a solution to any problem.

For you who are reading this post, whether you are having your toughest time now, please please, NEVER EVER consider of dying.

I agree by dying, you can solve your own shit but have you ever thought, how deep you have hurt all the people who loved and cared for you for the rest of their lives?? This is simply evidenced by the comments from his sister, his friends in the earliest comments of the notes.

Anyway, R.I.P Alviss Kong. I hope his family could accept the fact and move on. My condolences sincerely deep from my heart.

Places in Chengdu - Part 1

Actually, I wanted to drag this post until I finish my exam. FYI, my exam is just next friday !! Stress stress .... But still I feel like updating at least one post to kill ~~my laziness of studying~~ the wait of my readers. =P

Here we go ... (continuing from previous post - Journey to Chengdu)

Although the main highlight of the trip is not Chengdu itself, we still spent 2 days in Chengdu visiting some of the famous places in the town. Personally, I don't really think it is a must-go places, only if you have extra time. Plus, I am NOT a good China historian, so I don't think I am able to introduce the following places good as I am busy in taking pictures rather than listening to the history and I seriously have trouble with the China chinese's slang.

Anyway, less talking more pictures.

On 2nd day after arrival, we were brought to this Ancient City which I think it is already been modernised, so I don't feel attracted.

Inside there, there are many tea houses where you can past time which is the local's favourite activity, local delicacies and even some of the local cultures souveniors you can find here too.

Spot what is so special about this goat?

There's a story behind this but yet again, I choose to snap rather than listen. But I do know what is so special about this goat. It is actually a goat look-like but it is actually consist of the 12 chinese zodiac animals. A little bit of history which I manage to find over the internet.

Yuhuang Palace

The old palace was built under the reign of Emperor Daoguang (CE 1820-1850) during the Qing Dynasty (Emperor Daoguang was the sixth Qing Emperor), but the dilapidated building was later pulled down. Rebuilt in 1995, the new palace is a basement structure. The palace is dedicated to Emperor Yuhuang upstairs and to Emperor Sanguan downstairs. Of subordinate rank are dedications to Emperor Ziwei (upstairs) and Emperor Zhenwu (downstairs). On the grounds of the new palace also stand two bronze goats, 90cm long and 60cm high, one of which is the mythical looking single-horned goat-animal referred to above with a mouse's ears, an ox's nose, a tiger's claws, a rabbit's mouth, a dragon's horns, a snake's tail, a horse's face, a goat's beard, a monkey's neck, a chicken's eyes, a dog's belly and a pig's thighs. It is thus intended to symbolize the reincarnation of the twelve zodiac animals.

It was said that this strange bronze creature belonged to the Jingmei Pavilion in Kaifeng in Henan Province during the Song Dynasty. In the ninth year of the reign of Emperor Daoguang, another goat was sent by Zhangkeshi (in Chengdu), who invited Chenwenbin and Gutiren (in Yunnan) to share in the gift to the emperor. - Source from ChinaTravel.com

Thus, this famous bronze goat is located in a famous Taoist temple.

As some of you may know, the symbol for Taoist is the Eight Trigrams (八卦)

Nevertheless, we also visited this "Kuan Zhai" Alley which mean Alley of Narrow and Wide because there's 2 alley, 1 narrow and 1 wide. *duh* So, I don't really know what's the real history of it except that it is a westernize bar & pub place.

and I love the Starbucks shop in chinese style.

Apparently, Starbucks Coffee has managed to attract tourists like us because I am not the only one who capture this unique starbucks but I have friends who went to other places in China like Guangzhou also took a picture of the Starbucks. LOL.

I decided to break this post into 2 to avoid photo flood.

Journey to Chengdu

Finally !! I am able to blog about my fun-filling trip to Chengdu, China. I was thinking how should I blog. Should I blog in sequence of the trip or I should go by themes. Well, I think it'll be a little mix of it. It'll be in sequence but in themes. That mean, I'll break into several post. =D

Excited to board at Low Cost Carrier - Terminal (LCCT) with AirAsia X.

Took off at around 5something p.m. and we reached there at around 10 something at night. By that time we check out and meet our tour guide, it was already 11p.m.

Reached our hotel and we were hungry, as you know, you need to pay if you want to eat in AirAsia X and it's not filling. >_<

By the way, here is the tour guide that we are so unsatisfied about. Will be told in later post.

Anyway, DuDu showed us the way from our hotel to some shops for food. Surprisingly, the city of Chengdu is very quiet as compared to city like Beijing or China. Most of the shops are closed but luckily that is one small shop selling mee is still open.

2 of the famous local mee is as written on the sign, "Qiao Mian" and "Pu Gai Mian". Yeah, I know what you thinking of the 2nd type of mee. Pok kai mee (Pok kai mean fell down or broke in cantonese), huh ..

We tried the first one that night.

Saw the master chef making the mee. He uses the knife to cut into pieces straight into the boiling soup. It is something like "Pan Mee" in Malaysia but the texture of this mee is way softer and yummy.

Can you see how fast is it ??? And i manage to capture the dropping of the mee slices !! Woot !!!

The noodles !! Looks a bit oily, eh but it's super yummilicious or is it just me being too hungry?

For your information, Chengdu is the part of the Sichuan province. Thus, Sichuan people loves hot and spicy a lot. Especially those with 5cm layer of oil on top.

We also had their local beer, Snow to serve with the food.

This is the beginning of one of the most memorable journey that I ever had.

Found out the root cause .. First, it's the html code where instead of the normal setting. Previously, it is shown as "Friday, 12 April 2009". That's the reason why all my post are of the same dates.

After changing, the date became "Undefined".

So, the next step is to change the "Formatting" in "Settings" as I am using a third party template.

Mee Jawa Restaurant

On the other day, my parents decided to introduce me to this Mee Jawa Restaurant at Solaris Hartamas. Remember about my blog post on the Arabic Cuisine? Say yes pls ... =P It was at the same place though I didn't wrote the address as I couldn't get the address. =(

Anyway, so here am I at Mee Jawa Restaurant. Although it is a new shop there but Mee Jawa has been in existence in Kuala Lumpur area such as Tropicana, Pavillion.So, some of you could have tried it. As for me, I don't really recall trying it as I am not a fans of Mee Jawa.

Sorry again for the poor quality of my camera phone. This reminds me of bringing my DSLR everywhere I go .. !! But that day, I am having class before that, so it is impossible for me to actually carry my DSLR to class.

I quite like the ambience there. It is cooling and relaxing. They have free wifi too.

Not many people yet as we were there at around before 6p.m. Not too sure how it would be at night.

The shop itself is quite UNnoticeable because it is located at 2nd floor unless you actually look up from the main room without being already attracted at some of the nice restaurants like the Arabic Cuisine at the ground.

As for the foods, we tried ...

Mee Jawa itself of course

Asam Laksa. I myself quite like the soup. It is filled with fish meat but to warn you, it is those fish with lots of small bones. So, if you don't like fish bones, I suggest you not to order this. But still, it is worth trying.

Char Kuey Teow. One word: Nice ... =)

All comments above are according to my taste bud and according to the mood of the chef of that day.. XD Because I would think that these foods still up to individual's preference ...

The price is reasonable with this kind of ambience at this kind of high class area i.e. Hartamas.

Somewhere over the Rainbow

Some people says make a wish when you see the rainbow.
I say the rainbow had made my day after a long working week.

Took this during my way back home with my lousy camera phone while I was ~~driving~~ stopping for red lights to turn green. Wanted to take with my DSLR but by the time I run to my room and get my DSLR, the rainbow is slowly fading and couldn't capture a nice shot of it.

Harry Porter and The Deadly Hallows

Yes. The long waiting 7th episode of Harry Porter is finally out in cinema. However, based on the novel, the movie is broken into 2 parts of which Part 2 will only be released in June / July 2011. Kinda long to wait lorh.

Are you a Harry Porter fans? I suppose almost everyone that I know would watch Harry Porter movie although they might not be the fans of the novel. So, have you still remember about last movie?

Hint hint: Albus Dumbledore is dead.

The three of them i.e. Harry Porter, Hermione Ginger and Ron Weasley once again has made a great comeback although they have grown up unlike in the first movie where all are still in the kid look. Hehehe ...

The characters are still the same as before. Harry is still the quite and calm person. Hermione is the smart and easily gets angry while Ron is the blur person. I still love Ron a lot. He is still being him who made the people in cinema laughed for a while when the story is getting tensed.

Some of the famous characters in the movie. Able to recall their name in the story?

They are Lord Voldemort, Bellatrix and Greyback. =D

and oh, my favourite elf, Dobby. He seriously touches my heart in this movie. *sobs*

So, if you do follow the series of Harry Porter, do not miss out this opportunity to watch it ya. Although the Part 2 is in 2011, I think such great movies should be watched at cinema with the surround sound and the big screen. It is really worth paying for the ticket. =)

Malacca: Where History of Malaysia Begins

Continuing from my previous blog on Treasure Hunt, here I would like to introduce a little bit of the famous Malacca in brief.

One special thing about this state is that most of the historic building are still being well preserved despite the upcoming developments to help the local economics to grow. I could say that this place is different from the scenery you always see about Kuala Lumpur. This is because Malacca was once conquered by Portugese then the Dutch.

First, the famous dutch building that is in red colour. Below are the famous Christ Church in Malacca.

Secondly, St Paul Church.

Then, when you are there, some of the famous food that you MUST eat.

You also must try the Cendol. According to my friend, the shop below is the famous for the Cendol. They also have the famous Nyonya Laksa which I did not have a photo of it which you can try there too.

Talking about Nyonya food, Baba & Nyonya is a culture where you can find in Malacca or rather, it started there. Baba is addressed to Male while Nyonya are for Female. It all started in the late 15th / 16th century where traders from China across the sea stop by at the Straits of Malacca for trading, then when they were to settle down here by marrying the local Malay girls.

This is why you can see a lot of Chinese culture around especially their houses. It look like a Malay house but with Chinese design.

This is just a brief of Malacca with the pictures that I've got in my file. There's definitely more than this about Malacca.

Been feeling very tired this week especially since that I came back from my holiday and been working until the latest 6.30pm almost every day this week + have to travel back and forth to Shah Alam imagining the jam.

Nevertheless, this audit can say is one of the task that I enjoyed very much. Although it is stress with the work, but I actually enjoyed working with my colleagues, we joke around, we have lunch together, we discuss all the things under the sun, almost.

Yet I've so many things that I want to share with my readers here. Please forgive me for my slow update, ok? As I need to filter my photos and choose the best out of the best to be shared with you guys. =)

Malacca Trip (continuous from Treasure Hunt 2010 post)

While I filter and resize my photos taken during my 9 days trip, let me update something else first which I should have post it earlier.

Every year, my company would organize a Treasure Hunt activity. This year would be my first time joining the hunt. I was so excited and nervous at the same time because I am so afraid that I could not help my team in deciphering the questions. I was also appointed as the driver for the team.

Our team were given the name of Chicas Superpoderosas which according to my colleague, it mean the Powerpuff Girls in Spanish. This is because our team consist of 4 girls. Seriously, don't ask me to pronounce it because I don't know how and even until to-date, I can't remember that name .. I only remember it as the Chicas. Hehehehe ....

My initial thoughts of Treasure Hunt was we are suppose to decipher the clues given and to find for the treasures. I never knew it does not only consist the treasures which we have to buy and there are about 35 questions or so where we have again have to decipher the clues and guess which name of the shop along a row of shops. Other than that, there is also Photo Hunt which I think I am better in doing that. Hehehe...

Well, obviously during the hunt no photos are taken. =D

Anyway, this year hunt are to Malacca. Our starting point was from Kuala Lumpur and end at Malacca.

We stayed at Renaissance Hotel which is not too far from the town itself.

During the night, we will have dinner with the theme "Melaka Dalam Sejarah" (Malacca in History) because Malacca is where the history of Malaysia begins. So, to suit with the theme, we are encouraged to dress up maybe in British Colonial, Baba & Nyonya etc. Our team decided to dress in Nyonya style.

How do we look ?? Nice ??? Better say NICE !! =P

Surprisingly, a lot of the them dressed out of my expectation. For example,

They also haven games and performance which I myself enjoyed very much watching.. Hehehe....

Boy Gaga .. They are good ...

They also have the best dress male, female as well as teams. I only managed to capture for Top 3 Best Dress Male and Female.

Towards the end of the dinner, the organiser would then reveal all the answers and the winners. There are 60 participating cars and Top 40 teams have prizes to win. So, we manage to win ourselves RM50 although we did quite badly.

Now that I know how the game goes, I shall be better next year and be in Top 10 !! =D

Back to Malaysia

Went to Central Park at Bandar Utama on a lovely Sunday afternoon as sis in law wanted to bring our naughty little doggy for a walk. Oh, by the way, let me intro my pet doggy,

When we reached there, there are so many doggy around ... For dog lover, I think it's a must go there on Sunday evening. From what I know and understand, there will be the trainers who train the owner of dogs i.e. Train the Trainer where you can bring your pets there and learn how to train your pets especially those who are first timer.

Porky: I'm a good boy. I'm listening to the teacher also.

There are many stalls ranging from promotion of foods, services by various known pet shop, charity that looking for kind hearted owner to adopt unwanted pets, free grooming service etc etc. Basically, wherever you walk in the park, you'll see dogs, dogs and dogs.

Some of the doggy pictures that I manage to capture. Personally I love puppies that big dogs because puppy / mini dogs are CUTEEEE ~~~~ :P

Does it ring a bell to you about this dog ??? ^_^ He's the dog that is casted in the famous movie, Beethoven. I've also just learned that this type of dog is known as St. Bernard dog. (omg omg ... saw the St. Bernard's puppy? so cute !!!!)

Happy TEN TEN TEN !!

Yeah .. It's 10th October 2010 today !!!!! And it happens only once in a hundred years !!

There'll be a lot of couples getting marry today. For chinese, 10 is a prosperous number because it meant 十全十美 (shi quan shi mei). To translate it, ~~"ten all ten pretty"~~ it means "perfect and flawless" in the context of new married couple, wishing them that their marriage are perfect and with no arguments for their rest of the life together.

Have you have any weddings to attend today? ~~Lucky~~ Sadly for me, I don't have. But I shall make this day to be some special day, if I can .. =D

Hi-tea @ Armada Hotel

On dad's pre-birthday, we decided to have hi-tea at Armada Hotel suggested by mum since she say we always complain never bring us for the durian pancake as she always got confuse between Armada Hotel and Amcorp Mall .. XD

There's few restaurant there ... The one with Hi-tea was Utara Coffee House ...

The famous durian pancake . should call it as Roti Durian instead ...

Surprisingly, it is a famous place for gathering for senior citizens. So, you don't really expect much variety of foods. And normally, if you were to dine in a restaurant, they normally have promotions for kids and senior citizen. Here, instead, they have promotions for Adults !! So, it's really cheaper for people in the middle like us. Nor kids, neither senior citizen.

No kidding. 3 of us adults pay for 2 adults' price is still cheaper than the price of 2 senior citizens.
